So far, the installer had to use special Zehnder press fittings and tools, to be able to press the pipes of the radiant ceiling panel when installing the ZBN. Now, Zehnder has switched the pipes of their radiant panels to the standard size of 28 mm pipe diameter that is common in Germany. The installer can now install the Zehnder ZBN with the common commercially used press fittings and tools.
In an expensive simulation, Zehnder carried out calculations, for determining whether pressing of the panel is permissible at all, as it depends on many different factors like flow temperature, splay, length and width of the band as well as the type of flow through the panel (single-pipe or multi-pipe) and hence, the loading of the fitting.
With this evaluation program, the customer will now be advised according to his specific requirements.
Owing to the change of the pipe dimensions, the output of the ZBN radiant panels was also newly determined, measured and checked in accordance with the new, generally applicable standard EN-14037 (part 1-3). It was found that the outputs of the ZBN continue to be well above the market average.
In the course of these optimizations, the ZBN is now available in additional new installation widths. Apart from the familiar widths (30 cm, 45 cm, 60 cm, 75 cm and 90 cm), Zehnder now offers the radiant ceiling panel in the widths 105 and 120 cm also. In addition to these standard widths, Zehnder naturally continues to make them in many special dimensions and models.
Incidentally, the reduction of the pipe dimension has also resulted in a visual refinement of the radiant panel. The surface structure of the radiant panel appears more filigrane and thus underscores its proven design competence.
And the technical optimizations had one more pleasant side-effect: the weight reduction of the radiant panel, which in turn results in simplifying the installation.
The ZBN, the classic of radiant heating, in its new technical design has emphatically underlined its attractiveness as a competent heating system for industrial halls.
The Zehnder radiant ceiling panel ZBN has been technically optimized with the conversion to a pipe dimension of 28 mm. This standard dimension as well as the reduced weight of the radiant panel provides for a considerable simplification of the installation process.
