The specially careful Zehnder chromium plating process is monitored in the chromium-plating plant. In various production steps, the radiators get their refined surfaces so that they retain their shine for many years.
Step one: multi-stage cleaning.
The raw bodies are carefully cleaned of dust and degreased in several operations.
Step two: pre-treatment.
A special surface treatment is carried out for preparation of the following processes.
Step three: nickel-plating.
The radiator is nickel-plated by electrolysis.
Step four: chrome-plating.
The radiator is given the actual chromium coating through several immersion processes.
Step five: drying.
One last rinsing and drying ensures a brilliant, flawless chromium shine.
